Viewing Times and Viewing SpotsWatching the sun set over the summit of Mt. Fuji in December is a magnificent spectacle to behold. The sight of the sun setting as if it were vanishing into the crater of Mt. Fuji has a mysterious charm about it. Diamond Fuji occurs during the period around the Winter Solstice in December. Sunset is around 16:30 during this period but make sure you get there a little early and have ample time to savor the experience.
