Like Trail 2, Trail 5 circles the summit at the middle of which is the Visitor Center.
The trail travels through areas covered by thick stands of cedars, which were planted by Tarozaemon Egawa, a local governor of the Edo period. The cedars named after the governor are known as Egawa Cedars
